Professional ASD Training Courses
Therapists are in higher demand for autism therapy than ever before, and it is the fastest growing area of need in the therapeutic community. As autism rates soar all over the world, there is a shortage of qualified, experienced professionals trained in diagnosing and effectively treating children and adults with ASD. While there are other resources for those who are most severely impacted by autism, there is little support for higher functioning individuals, especially teens, young adults, or adults with ASD. Mis-diagnosis and failed treatment are commonplace experiences for families, who are also faced with difficult psychological and emotional challenges to overcome. Successful autism diagnosis and treatment for both the individual with ASD and their family/caregivers can be accomplished with the addition of understanding the uniqueness of autism.

Educators and Teachers are on the front line with autism. Recognition of the signs and subtleties of ASD, and the ability to work with an individual with ASD in the classroom is more important than ever. If you have experienced a classroom disrupted by the behavior of an individual who has (or you suspect has) autism, you know the frustration. Lacking the necessary tips, tools and strategies to manage effectively can make the school year painful and less rewarding than desired.

First responders have an ever increasingly difficult job! More and more emergency calls are being made in response to mental health issues. Some sources suggest that more than half of all emergency calls today involve mental health issues. And the expectations of the public are that First Responders know the difference between a criminal and an autistic kid in the middle of a meltdown. Today police and other First Responders are being held criminally accountable, and had best know all they can about the individuals who they encounter under such varying circumstances. This new level of accountability being demanded of First Responders does not leave any room for error. You do not want to be on the wrong side of that judgement call!
