Certification

Once you have completed the Professional Training, you may apply for Certification by the National Autism Academy.

NAA Certification Requirements and Process for Professionals:

1. Complete 30-hour Professional NAA training 
2. Pass NAA 300 Question Final Exam (Professional or Teacher Version) with 80% or more (3 attempts per year)
3. Submit NAA Application for 2-year Certification with Fee ($197)
4. Receive NAA electronic certification packet
   1. It includes instructions on how to complete:
      1. Video discussion of case study #1 (5 minutes maximum)
      2. Video discussion of case study #2 (5 minutes maximum)
      3. Certification Worksheets
         1. Intake/Evaluation Questions
         2. Description of therapeutic model
         3. Common Misdiagnoses 
5. Submit completed certification packet to NAA
6. Receive NAA Certification approval within 30 days
         It includes:
   1. Save for later box
   2. Motivation Deck
   3. I have Autism bookmark
   4. Printed Certification Certificate
   5. Training on how to leverage your Certification for greater visibility to ideal clients
   6. Certified by NAA Window decals (2)
   7. Listing on the NAA’s website of certified providers
   8. On-going access to email Q&A and office hours for live Q&A 
   9. NAA Table Tent for Office
   10. Parent Brochures
   11. Optional Affiliate Status (paid referrals)
   12. Field tools for Professionals:
       1. Annual Renewal of Certification after initial 2 years: 
       2. $47 prior to lapse of previous certification
       3. $97 within 90 days of lapse of previous certification
       4. Receive an updated Certification Packet and Certificate

Cost of certification: $197 for first 2 years, $47 per year renewal.
